Sarah Hahn is a Conway native. She is a Conway High School alumni of the graduating class of 1998 (go Wampus Cats!). Sarah played clarinet from 6-9th grades, eventually playing the contrabass clarinet in 9th grade concert band at Conway Junior High school. She made the difficult decision to quit band and focus on cheerleading in high school, where she served as Captain of the Conway High School Varsity cheerleading squad her senior year. The Conway Bands have always held a special place in Sarah’s heart, though, and Sarah can often be heard saying the band is what carries the games and makes them so exciting!
Sarah and her husband, Alan, have 2 boys that are proud members of the Conway Schools Bands. Jacob, a senior for the 26-27 school year, is a member of the percussion section and Crunk Crew. Lucas, a Sophomore for the 26-27 school year, is a member of the saxophone section.
Sarah attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on a cheerleading scholarship, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, in 2002. She is also a proud graduate of the University of Central Arkansas (go Bears!) where she graduated with her Master’s of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2004. Sarah works for Pearson Virtual Learning/Arkansas Connections Academy as a Speech-Language Pathology Team Specialist, where she works with students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade and supervises a team of SLP’s.
In her spare time, Sarah can be found helping out with band events, taking Spin and Step (and sometimes Pilates) group exercise classes at Hodge Health and Fitness, and camping with her family. Sarah is excited and proud to serve as a member of the Conway Bands board and Conway Bands Foundation.
